About the Girls

Eleven years ago, a kind-hearted woman purchased a property in Whakapara, Northland—and with it, inherited a herd of Hereford cows who were being raised for beef. She fell in love.

Rather than send them to slaughter, she made a brave, compassionate choice: giving them what they had always deserved—the right to live.
